Rouge Dior 999 Review

I don’t know about you, but for me, I find it difficult to pull off bright red lipsticks. I feel like its color is intimidating that’s why I refrain from using/buying red lippies. I was never a fan of Russian Reds and Ruby Woos. But then again, they say if you dislike ’em maybe you haven’t found the right one. Later, I discovered The One, my right shade of bold red lipstick, it’s Rouge Dior 999.

Brown Liquid Liner Review: Revlon Colorstay Liquid Liner & TonyMoly Matte Liner

When I was studying for the specialty board exam, I watched a lot of Korean makeup tutorials during my break time. Pony and Lamuqe are my faves (if you may ask) and they’ve been using a lot of brown eyeliners to achieve that fresh light look. So I asked my sister to buy me a drugstore brown liquid eyeliner–not pencil, not gel, but liquid. Surprisingly, she had a hard time looking for a brown liquid eyeliner but managed to bring me a Revlon Colorstay Skinny Liquid Liner in Mahogany Flame.

The Revlon Colorstay Skinny Liquid Liner is a metallic bronze/brown liner that comes in a very fine brush tip that would be perfect for creating cat-eyes. It’s quick drying and creates a solid finish. A single swipe is enough to do the trick. According to Revlon, it’s a ‘long lasting color stay formula won’t smudge, smear or fade for all day wear’, however it does smugde, especially the glitter/metallic part.

Nars Contour Blush Review

I used to contour my face using my bronzer. However, I eventually learned the difference between bronzer and contour: Contours have ashy undertones to sculpt your face by making shadow effects, while Bronzers have reddish warm undertones to make this sun-kissed looked. I then ditched by bronzer and searched the web for the best contour around. I came across the top contour kits in the market:

    • Anastasia Beverly Hill Pro Series Contour Kit
    • Kat Von D Shade & Light Face Contour Palette
    • Nars Contour Blush
    • Tom Ford Shade & Illuminate
    • Too Faced Cocoa Chiseled to Perfection Palette

psx_20180403_082145-1025866441.jpgBeing the NARSissist that I am, I just got to get my hands on the Nars Contour Blush! I got mine in the shade of Paloma, which is a Pink Beige/ Deep Rose color (the medium shade). In Asia, it comes in 3 shades: Olympia (light), Paloma (medium) and Gienah (dark). This kit is really easy to use, great for contour beginners. The product is very pigmented, and you if got too much product you can just blend it off.
