NARS Orgasm Liquid Blush Review

NARS just released a three-piece Orgasm collection (Orgasm afterglow lip balm, Orgasm Illuminating loose powder and Orgasm limited edition blush) exclusively in the Sephora App. And in the meantime, while I am waiting for the new collection to be released in the Philippines, I’ll review my favourite Orgasm Liquid Blush.

NARS Orgasm Liquid Blush

The cult fave powder blush was released in 1999, and I wonder why NARS only came up with a liquid version of this blush only last year (after 18 years)!

According to the site, the Orgasm liquid blush is a lasting peachy-pink with golden shimmer in a foolproof pump dispenser. The formula provides a buildable, blendable coverage.

NARS Orgasm Liquid Blush

Packaging: The liquid blush is contained in a glass bottle with a pump dispenser. You have to be careful with the pump since all you need is a tiny amount of the product. Also, I’ve noticed that there were leaks of liquid blush on my bottle, so you just need to make sure that your bottle is closed tightly.

Pigment/ Texture: The pigment of this blush is incredible! As I’ve said, a little product goes a long way. I would dispense a tiny amount of blush near my wrist then apply it with a brush just to make sure that I would not put too much on my cheeks, which happens a lot when applied directly unto the cheeks. The difference of this version from the powder blush is that the liquid blush is less shimmery and less peachy in colour.

Staying Power: Because it is a liquid blush I knew that it would have more staying power than the powder version. But it actually exceeds expectations! This blush lasts the whole day without any touch-ups.

Price: The cost is the same as the powder blush. The price is 1,700.00 ($30.00).

Availability: You can purchase this in NARS stores and Rustan’s.

Final Thoughts: This is an amazing product! It’s blendable, long-lasting, and (we all know) the shade is universally flattering. Is it necessary to buy this if you already have the powder blush? Probably not. But if I have to choose between the powder vs the liquid version, on the basis of longevity, I’d choose the liquid blush.
