What’s in my Makeup Travel Bag: Sydney

Last month, I went on a short trip to Sydney for my cousin’s wedding in Hunter Valley. It was already Autumn in Sydney; the days were still hot and humid while the nights were cool and windy. Because it was just a short visit I tried to pack only the essential stuff. So here’s what’s in my travel bag:

Base

First of all, I brought my new sunscreen COSRX Shield Fit Snail Essence Sun SPF 50+ PA+++ (review) for me to try and test it under the Australian weather. I also brought my Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Quench Hydrating Primer however I was not really reaching for it that much during my trip. For foundation, I can not live without my latest holy grail, the MARC JACOBS BEAUTY Shameless Youthful-Look 24H Foundation SPF 25. It’s just soooo good; it’s lightweight and it feels so natural.

Eyes

It was tough to leave behind my eye shadow palettes, but then I decided that my ever so versatile URBAN DECAY Born To Run Eyeshadow Palette will be joining me in Sydney. This is probably the most travel-friendly eye shadow palette I have ever used. I got this NARS Climax Mascara Mini from Sephora and I was blown away how good it was. The size (2.36ml) was perfect for travelling, and I’m sure I’ll be purchasing the original size once my mini ran out. As usual, I brought my trusted K-Palette 1 Day Tattoo Real Lasting Eyeliner 24H WP (Super Black).

Lips

I have been using my Sunnies Fluffmate lipsticks for the past few months and SO FARM I’m still loving. My favorite shades are Baked (terracotta peach) and Milkshake (warm pink nude). The lipsticks are really inexpensive but can be drying at times so I usually put on a lip balm with SPF, NIVEA Sun Protect Lip Balm.

Face

Since it was Autumn in Sydney, I wanted a more orange-y blush and the Glossier Cloud Paint in Dawn was the perfect Fall blush shade for me. I love highlighters and I can not pick just one particular shade so I decided to bring my Colourpop CRUSH ON YOU Super Shock Highlighter Palette. It’s a crème powder highlighter with good color selection, however, it’s not as long lasting as Becca. And of course, for the finale, I sealed my makeup with my Holy Grail Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray.

That’s all for now! What makeup products do you bring when you go travelling?

P.S. Here are some of my photos from my recent trip 🙂
