Juvia’s Place is a cosmetic brand known for its high-intensity, pigment-rich eyeshadow palettes. I was always curious about this brand because of its positive reviews. So last year I decided to have a Juvia’s Place Haul. One of my purchase is The Nubian Eyeshadow palette. I picked this up because it’s one of their classic/well-known product. Nikkie Tutorials raved about this palette so much on her YT channel.
Product Description: Juvia’s Nubian eye shadow palette features, the most essential collection of neutral colors. Our highly pigmented colors blends flawlessly and has incredible wear-ability power. This palette is easy for everyday wear into night. This is a must-have palette great for all skin-types. Nubian eye shadow palette features 4 Transition Matte and 8 Shimmery Pearl Textured Colors.
Packaging: It comes in a cardboard packaging that is slim and compact. It’s not the most elegant packaging but it does look hip and creative with its bright green colour and beautiful illustration of Queen Nefertiti. The compact does not have a mirror nor does it have shade names for each of the shadows.
Shade 1 is an iridescent pink
Shade 2 is a matte tan
Shade 3 is a nude brown
Shade 4 is a shimmer champagne
Shade 5 is a shimmer light gold with pink undertone
Shade 6 is metallic light gold
Shade 7 is a goldish auburn shimmer
Shade 8 is a metallic bronze gold
Shade 9 is a metallic dark auburn
Shade 10 is a matte brown
Shade 11 is a metallic dark brown
Shade 12 is a matte ebony brown
Pigment: It’s my first time to try Juvia’s Place palette and the reviews are right. The formula of the shadows is very rich and high intensity. The pigments are really high quality especially the metallics and the shimmers. As for the matte shades, they are pigmented but when you try to blend the matte shades it tends to be patchy and hard to work with.
Performance: The pressed shadows do have fallouts however it doesn’t mean that it didn’t perform well. When working with the eyeshadows, they blend seamlessly except for the mattes which as I mentioned earlier can be a little patchy. In terms of longevity, the eyeshadows last for a long time.
Price/ Availability:This palette retails for $20.00 but Juvia’s Place always goes on sale. I bought this from their Sale last year for only $10. Currently, they are on sale again because of Black History Month. You can get this palette for only $6. That’s a steal!! However, if you’re from the Philippines you’ll spend a lot if you ship this to the Philippines. If you have friends/ family in the US you can have it delivered to their US address. I don’t suggest buying Juvia’s Place from online shops because they sell this for a higher price.
Final Thoughts: So I guess the hype is real. This is a great neutral eyeshadow palette. I do think that the shades would suit any skin tone; no wonder a lot of beauty enthusiasts consider this one of their favourite neutral palettes. And for the price point, you can’t go wrong with this product. I highly recommend this!
