If you’re a busy (and a lazy) girl like me then micellar water is your best friend. It’s cheap, hydrating and it removes dirt and makeup in an instant. I wished I have known micellar water when I was in 1st-year residency, a period when my skincare routine is non-existent. But now I can’t live without it, I have a bottle in my house, in my condominium unit, in the hospital and in my travel/duty bag.
So for this post, I’ll review four popular drugstore micellar cleansers in the Philippines. Criteria for this review are affordability, ingredients and performance as a cleanser. As for ingredients, I’ll base this from CoSDNA, a site where product ingredients are analyzed for Comedogenic and Irritation (0-5) and Safety index from (1-9). The lower the number the better.
If you read my previous post you already know that I visited Cambodia last month. The last time I went to Cambodia was eight years ago, but we only visited Phnom Penh and skipped Siem Reap. Of course, I have to come back for Angkor Wat. Given that it was raining hard the whole month of July in the Philippines, I’m not sure what to expect with regards to Cambodia’s weather.
Because I was there for only less than three days I only packed a few things. Most of the products I packed with me are my daily essentials. Here are the products I brought:Read More »
This blog was supposed to be devoted only to beauty, makeup and skincare but I can’t help but write about other stuff and share my lifestyle favourites. I have seen this fancy blue cream all over the internet especially in the AsianBeauty Community and it got me really curious. At that time I was looking for a night-time moisturiser, and although this was supposed to be a calming cream I thought that this might pass as a good moisturizer, hence an order was placed.
Product Description: A gentle spot treatment cream that provides comfort to rapidly calm & soothe sensitivity. Powered by nature, its star ingredients are Guaiazulene, a natural component extracted from chamomile oil, which carries powerful skin calming abilities, and Centella Asiatica, which helps hydrate and relieve redness.
Packaging: This is probably one of the most photogenic creams I’ve seen. It’s popular in #ABcommunity and #TextureTuesdays posts on Instagram. Who couldn’t resist on photographing the elegant glass packaging and the periwinkle colour of this cream? Also, this comes with a nice spatula for application.Read More »
Bioré UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence is my ultimate Holy Grail sunscreen. I do not leave the house/ condo without putting this on. So when I found out that Bioré released a limited edition last Spring in Japan I did not have any second thoughts, I immediately purchased it.
Packaging: It’s the same packaging with a pink floral makeover. The light pink tube with the Peony illustration is very very pretty!Read More »
Hello, guys, I’m back! My schedule is crazy, I’m mostly on duty during weekends and I have to recuperate during the weekdays, so basically I’m still adjusting to my new schedule. I do promise to keep up with my blog and follow a feasible blogging schedule.
This is actually an overdue post. I bought this lip and cheek tint last summer for my beach trip because I wanted to achieve a glowing orangey summer look. And since I love the brand The Face Shop I immediately purchased The Face Shop Watery Tint in 03 Orange Scene.Read More »
I’m not a fan of mascaras because I already accepted that my short, straight and stubborn lashes are hopeless. Even the cult fave Shu Uemura curlers can only provide a temporary fix for my lashes. Although I wasn’t blessed with long and full lashes, I rely on falsies when I needed the extra drama. But there are days that I don’t have much time to put on false eyelashes that’s the time I resort to mascara. My favourite mascara is Lancôme Définicils High Definition Mascara. As for drugstore mascara, I haven’t found the right one. I have tried some but it did not work for me. It only end up in my shelf only to be disposed after a few months when it have dried up.
