If you read my previous post you already know that I visited Cambodia last month. The last time I went to Cambodia was eight years ago, but we only visited Phnom Penh and skipped Siem Reap. Of course, I have to come back for Angkor Wat. Given that it was raining hard the whole month of July in the Philippines, I’m not sure what to expect with regards to Cambodia’s weather.
Because I was there for only less than three days I only packed a few things. Most of the products I packed with me are my daily essentials. Here are the products I brought:Read More »
I’m not a fan of mascaras because I already accepted that my short, straight and stubborn lashes are hopeless. Even the cult fave Shu Uemura curlers can only provide a temporary fix for my lashes. Although I wasn’t blessed with long and full lashes, I rely on falsies when I needed the extra drama. But there are days that I don’t have much time to put on false eyelashes that’s the time I resort to mascara. My favourite mascara is Lancôme Définicils High Definition Mascara. As for drugstore mascara, I haven’t found the right one. I have tried some but it did not work for me. It only end up in my shelf only to be disposed after a few months when it have dried up.
There has been a hype over the L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara last year and also early this year when Lash Paradise was finally available in the Philippine Market. I got curious so I picked up one: the Waterproof Blackest Black during a trip to the department store.
Product Description: Take your lashes to paradise! Our 1st mascara for volume & length. Soft wavy bristle brush holds maximum formula for a dramatic volumizing charge. 200+ bristles catch every lash for a full fringe effect. Smooth glide formula provides silky volume in one coat. Lashes are feathery soft to the touch. Women agreed: 91% saw intense & volumized lashes and 87% saw more beautiful lashes. +98% lengthening effect.
I was looking for a mini palette as a substitute for my overused Urban Decay Naked Basic. TBH I do reach more for my mini palettes than the full sized palettes, which most of the time stay on my shelf. I was searching for an inexpensive brand, then I realised I haven’t tried any of ColourPop’s palettes. The Take Me Home Palette looks good, and since Tati approves of this eyeshadow in her video, I might as well give it shot.
Product Description: Take Me Home is the perfect eyeshadow palette for travel or touchups. It features six super-pigmented pressed powder shadows in versatile everyday shades with matte and metallic finishes. The formula applies evenly and feels ultra-velvety and silky. These long-wearing shadows contain a unique combination of softer powders which adheres easily to the eyes, gives a soft-focus effect, and blends smoothly and evenly.
Packaging: ColourPop eyeshadow palettes come in a cardboard packaging. But this has a plus, unlike other ColourPop palettes this packaging comes with a mirror.Read More »
When I was studying for the specialty board exam, I watched a lot of Korean makeup tutorials during my break time. Pony and Lamuqe are my faves (if you may ask) and they’ve been using a lot of brown eyeliners to achieve that fresh light look. So I asked my sister to buy me a drugstore brown liquid eyeliner–not pencil, not gel, but liquid. Surprisingly, she had a hard time looking for a brown liquid eyeliner but managed to bring me a Revlon Colorstay Skinny Liquid Liner in Mahogany Flame.
The Revlon Colorstay Skinny Liquid Liner is a metallic bronze/brown liner that comes in a very fine brush tip that would be perfect for creating cat-eyes. It’s quick drying and creates a solid finish. A single swipe is enough to do the trick. According to Revlon, it’s a ‘long lasting color stay formula won’t smudge, smear or fade for all day wear’, however it does smugde, especially the glitter/metallic part.
