If you read my previous post you already know that I visited Cambodia last month. The last time I went to Cambodia was eight years ago, but we only visited Phnom Penh and skipped Siem Reap. Of course, I have to come back for Angkor Wat. Given that it was raining hard the whole month of July in the Philippines, I’m not sure what to expect with regards to Cambodia’s weather.
Because I was there for only less than three days I only packed a few things. Most of the products I packed with me are my daily essentials. Here are the products I brought:Read More »
This blog was supposed to be devoted only to beauty, makeup and skincare but I can’t help but write about other stuff and share my lifestyle favourites. Call me nerd but I would also like to include some latest medical news/ studies from journals so all of us are updated. Hopefully, this Lifestyle Roundup will become a monthly thing.Read More »
The worse thing than the unbearable summer heat is the sticky feeling of my makeup melting and sliding down my face. Even though most of the makeup products I’m using are relatively long-lasting, sometimes there are just limits to their longevity. That’s why I felt the need to resort to setting spray. If there’s a product that could make my makeup last the entire day without any touchups, I’ll definitely try it. When it comes to setting sprays it, (based on reviews), it seems like Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray is the gold standard. Let’s see what’s the fuss is about…
Product Description: Is makeup meltdown ruining your midnight mojo? Mist on this weightless spray to give your makeup serious staying power. Developed in an exclusive partnership with SKINDINÄVIA, this groundbreaking, clinically tested formula is suitable for all skin types and features patented Temperature Control Technology. It actually lowers the temperature of your makeup to keep foundation, eyeshadow, blush, and concealer in place—even in hot and humid or cold and windy conditions. The result? Smoother-looking skin and vibrant makeup that lasts all day (or night) without melting, cracking, fading, or settling into fine lines.
Directions: After applying makeup, shake the bottle well, hold 8″-10″ and mist face 2-4 times in an “X” and ”T” formation.Read More »
I was looking for a mini palette as a substitute for my overused Urban Decay Naked Basic. TBH I do reach more for my mini palettes than the full sized palettes, which most of the time stay on my shelf. I was searching for an inexpensive brand, then I realised I haven’t tried any of ColourPop’s palettes. The Take Me Home Palette looks good, and since Tati approves of this eyeshadow in her video, I might as well give it shot.
Product Description: Take Me Home is the perfect eyeshadow palette for travel or touchups. It features six super-pigmented pressed powder shadows in versatile everyday shades with matte and metallic finishes. The formula applies evenly and feels ultra-velvety and silky. These long-wearing shadows contain a unique combination of softer powders which adheres easily to the eyes, gives a soft-focus effect, and blends smoothly and evenly.
Packaging: ColourPop eyeshadow palettes come in a cardboard packaging. But this has a plus, unlike other ColourPop palettes this packaging comes with a mirror.Read More »
K-Beauty is really popular here in the Philippines but unfortunately, we still don’t have Innisfree stores here. I’ve always wanted to try Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Powder because of the good reviews it received. Vlogger Itsmyrayeraye even tried to bake using this powder in one of her videos (although it failed the flash photography test). I have really, really oily skin and the summer season and the humidity in Manila make it actually worse. So my sister got me this powder from Innisfree Singapore for S$ 10. You can buy this online in the Philipines, there a LOT of K-Beauty sellers online.
Packaging: It comes in a small round mint-green packaging with a puff. The tiny size is really convenient, you can easily fit it on your makeup kit, purse or pocket. I apply the powder using a brush that’s why I don’t use puff often. Some reviews say they didn’t like the packaging since it tends to be messy but I never experienced any spills with the packaging.Read More »
NARS just released a three-piece Orgasm collection (Orgasm afterglow lip balm, Orgasm Illuminating loose powder and Orgasm limited edition blush) exclusively in the Sephora App. And in the meantime, while I am waiting for the new collection to be released in the Philippines, I’ll review my favourite Orgasm Liquid Blush.
The cult fave powder blush was released in 1999, and I wonder why NARS only came up with a liquid version of this blush only last year (after 18 years)!
According to the site, the Orgasm liquid blush is a lasting peachy-pink with golden shimmer in a foolproof pump dispenser. The formula provides a buildable, blendable coverage.
I’ve been M.I.A for a week because of our Diplomate Induction and Convention, so I promised myself I will post more regularly than the previous month. Now for this month, I’ll start with my first round of empties:
Biore UV AQUA Rich Watery Essence
This is actually the old packaging, which I bought last year. I use this every day before putting makeup. It’s light-weight and it doesn’t leave any white casts. Repurchase? Yes! It’s my everyday sunscreen.
